GM Helps Professionals Flourish in Their Second Act
Some companies are recognizing the potential in those who want to rejoin the workforce, or who may need new skills. GM’s Take Two program is for people who have been out of the workforce for two or more years. The one-year internship offers reskilling or upskilling, and many of the participants are hired into the company at the end of the stint. Amazon has also announced that it plans to invest $700+ million to upskill 100,000 US employees by 2025.
